iSing! 2017

24 year 7 and 8 students took part in the Doncaster music Hub celebration at The Dome. They joined students from other schools in the area to form a 150+ member choir. They had been learning the songs that would be featured in the concert since Christmas, and all attended weekly junior vocal group rehearsals. All managed to learn all of the words without needing music in front of them which was a fantastic achievement. The evening was an incredible event and the students represented the school fantastically.

Flame 2017

On Saturday 11th March we took 14 students down to Wembley SSE arena to Flame, an event organised by CYMFED (Catholic Youth Ministry Federation). Attended by 10,000 young people from across the UK the day was filled with music, theatre, speakers and prayer. The theme of the day was 10,000 reasons and we were asked to send messages of hope to those in need, and to love others as God loves us. The day closed with a powerful moment of silence and Adoration. Flame gave our students a real opportunity to celebrate their faith with other young people whilst being inspired to do more within our own communities.

Year 12 Young Enterprise - Meadowhall Trade Fair Visit

This year's YE students from Y12 recently took part in the Meadowhall trade fair. Trading as 'Prestige', the students set up a stand from which to sell their wares and impress the judges. Their product, The Plug Jug, is a receptacle in which you can recharge your mobile without the hassle of untidy cables. The group use recycled shampoo and other toiletry bottles which they cut, shape and decorate into bespoke designs. To find out more, follow Prestige on social media.
